Editorial Standards

Raccoon Media Network publishes field dispatches: event reports, ballpark nights, and scrappy stories from rooms that still send a signal. These standards describe how that work is done.

Ownership

RMN is published by ProbleMattic Solutions. The reporter of record is Matthew D. Kulcsar. If something about ownership or contact is unclear, use the contact link in the footer.

Bylines and accountability

Every dispatch carries a visible byline (Matthew D. Kulcsar). The named reporter is accountable for the piece: facts checked against primary materials, observations grounded in being there, and judgments that can be defended if challenged.

Sourcing

Event facts (schedules, guests, scores, promotions) are verified against official materials when available. Observational passages come from field notes. When a dispatch relies on specific source material, a source note appears at the bottom of the article.

Original reporting

RMN is not a wire rewrite desk. We publish original reporting and first-person observation. Aggregated headlines without reporting do not belong here.

Conflicts

If a dispatch involves a personal, commercial, or other material conflict, we disclose it in the piece or decline to publish.

Emergency radio, alerts, and breaking incidents

The RMN Fire Desk uses scanner traffic, dispatch information, and community posts only as leads. A fire is reported as confirmed only when an official source or reliable corroborated reporting supports it, and details heard on the radio are attributed as reported, not stated as fact. Deaths, injuries, causes, arrests, names, and the number of displaced residents appear only after officials confirm them. We do not infer casualties from ambulance or rescue traffic, and we do not infer causes from circumstances. We do not publish apartment unit numbers, names tied to private homes, medical details, or other private information. An editor reviews every Emergency Services dispatch and every incident board update before it is posted, and nothing is published automatically.
